If you've been hearing more about quantum technology lately and wondering what that actually means for your business—you're not alone. It may sound like science fiction, but this technology is already making its way into the real world… and it has major implications for manufacturers.
At our upcoming Critical Networks in Manufacturing Forum, we’re excited to welcome Janet Rehberg, President of Strategic Initiatives at EPB, to share how quantum technology could reshape the future of industrial operations.
In her role, Janet leads EPB’s newly formed Strategic Initiatives business unit—created specifically to help Chattanooga stay ahead as the energy and communications industries evolve rapidly. According to EPB, Janet’s work focuses on leveraging Chattanooga’s advanced infrastructure to explore future-facing technologies that benefit the entire community, including projects like the existing EPB Quantum NetworkSM as well as the recently announced effort to establish the EPB Quantum CenterSM. In addition, Janet is exploring renewable energy innovations like geothermal integration.
At the summit, Janet will walk us through what quantum technology can do, why it matters, and how manufacturers can begin preparing now. Her session will cover how quantum technology can drastically enhance data security, operational efficiency, and real-time decision-making.
Before joining EPB, Janet spent nearly 20 years in leadership roles across the energy sector, most recently as Chief Strategy Officer and VP of Engineering at a major Texas utility. She brings a rare mix of technical depth and strategic vision, backed by degrees in electrical engineering and business, as well as multiple certifications in energy management, project leadership, and emotional intelligence.
But what stands out most is Janet’s focus on driving innovation that serves people—not just systems. As EPB CEO David Wade put it, “Janet’s proven track record of driving change and fostering innovation makes her a great fit for this role. Her leadership will be instrumental as we explore how to provide community benefit through initiatives like EPB Quantum Network.”
For manufacturers facing growing demands for speed, security, and scalability, quantum technology may be the missing piece. This session is your chance to get ahead of the curve and learn from one of the leaders shaping what’s next.
