Intro to OSHA

​

The Introduction to OSHA training course emphasizes workers' rights and protections according to the OSH Act of 1970.Introduction to OSHA training teaches the history of OSHA and the administration’s role in reducing work-related injuries and deaths. Participants will learn about employer's responsibilities under OSHA and the ways that OSHA protects their right to a safe and healthful work environment as well as OSHA inspections, penalties, recordkeeping and reporting requirements.

Hazardous communications

​

HazCom is a set of standards that were designed and implemented by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) to protect workers and companies that deal with hazardous waste operations. Being exposed to hazardous substances can inflict a wide range of negative health effects, some of which can lead to death. In this training, participants will be shown how to comply with hazard management and hazardous waste regulations as required by OSHA and other federal safety agencies. Training topics include decontamination, hazardous chemicals, and more.

Materials Handling Safety Equipment

​

​The efficient handling and storing of materials are vital to industry. Unfortunately, the improper handling and storing of these materials often result in costly injuries. This materials handling training teaches employees what they should know before moving, handling and storing materials and also what the potential hazards are for workers.

Machine Guarding

​

Workers using machinery may be exposed to several hazards that can lead to injury or even death. In the process of removing or avoiding hazards, workers must learn to recognize the hazards associated with the different types of  equipment and safety precautions necessary to prevent those hazards. In this machine guarding course, participants will learn the purpose and importance of machine guarding in preventing injuries.

Industrial Hygiene

​

Understand industrial hygiene practices along with OSHA regulations and procedures. Participants will learn about OSHA health standards, respiratory protection, exposure limits, engineering controls, hazard communication, hearing protections, and other related topics as well as practice using scenarios to describe the hazards present and decide which OSHA standards apply.

Bloodborne Pathogens

​

OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens standard is a federal OSHA regulation that prescribes safeguards to protect workers against the health hazards from exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials and to reduce their risk from this exposure. After completing this course, participants will have the knowledge to comply with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard and CDC directives regarding risks and precautions associated with exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials.

Ergonomics is the science of a full range of tasks including, but not limited to, lifting, holding, pushing, walking and reaching. Many ergonomic problems result from technological changes such as increased assembly line speeds, adding specialized tasks and increased repetition. In this ergonomics compliance course, you will learn the importance of ergonomics in the workplace and how to avoid ergonomic injuries by following OSHA guidelines.

Safety and health Program

​

The main goal of safety and health programs is to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and deaths, as well as the suffering and financial hardship these events can cause for workers, their families, and employers. A clear, written policy helps you communicate that safety and health is a primary organizational value – as important as productivity, profitability, product or service quality, and customer satisfaction. Learn the core elements of a Safety & Health program, how to define the goals of your plan and effectively communicate them and how to allocate resources to implement the plan.

Fall Protection

​

The US Department of Labor (DOL) lists falls as one of the leading causes of traumatic occupational death, accounting for a high percentage rate of all occupational fatalities from trauma. In this fall protection training, participants will be provided with the tools to identify fall hazards and decide how to best protect themselves by reducing or eliminating these hazards.

Lock, Tag, Try: Affected Employees

​

Energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, thermal, or other sources in machines and equipment can be hazardous to workers. Proper lock, tag, try procedures must be in place to safeguard employees from serious injury and death. This lesson is for affected employees that do not actually lockout equipment, but their jobs are affected when equipment is locked out. Training an affected employee is essential because they could cause injury to themselves or to the employee performing lockout if they attempt to bypass the lockout. 
 

Hand & Power Tool Safety

​

Hand and power tools can be very hazardous in industry and have the potential for causing severe injuries when used or maintained improperly. This course is designed to present a summary of the basic procedures and safeguards associated with hand and portable power tools. After completing this course, participants will be able to recognize the hazards associated with different types of tools and understand the necessary safety precautions that should be taken for each.

Heat Illness

​

Exposure to heat can cause illness and death. While the most serious heat illness is heat stroke, other heat illnesses such as heat exhaustion, heat cramps and heat rash, should also be avoided. There are precautions that can be taken any time temperatures are high and the job involves physical work. In this course, participants will learn the risk factors and symptoms of heat illness and how to protect themselves and other workers from developing such illness.

Workplace Infectious Disease Prevention

​

 An infectious disease could be the single greatest threat to business continuity. Businesses are looking for ways to keep employees, customers, supplier and their communities healthy. This training provides businesses with guidelines and best practices for developing their companies’ policies and procedures for a healthy workplace. Keeping employees healthy is not only the right thing to do but also makes good business sense. Absenteeism can rise 15-30% due to sickness, quarantines and family care responsibilities. Managing through requires constant communications and discipline towards your policies.

Employee Infectious Disease Training

Walking & Working Surfaces

The Walking & Working Surfaces training course provides essential training on safety protocols and best practices for navigating various surfaces in a workplace environment. Participants will learn to identify and mitigate hazards associated with uneven terrain, slippery floors, and elevated platforms. Topics covered include proper footwear selection, fall prevention measures, the use of handrails and guardrails, and the importance of maintaining clean and organized workspaces. This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries related to walking and working surfaces, promoting a safer and more productive work environment.
